Nobody's Road
About
t's 2045 and America is ruled by The Brain, a computer housed on a country road.
A world of dried-up rivers, computer project educations, holographs, and robots that tend to us but also threaten us. Privilege rules and the poor suffer. Most species have died off and even fresh air is scarce. The emotions of children have been wiped out. They become drones – dangerous killers. The answer lies in Pindar Corners where The Brain dictates our future, our marriages, and our finances.
In need of a hero, Harry Erin Cooper steps up to the plate and falls into time to discover The Brain's emergence ... and to pull the plug on it. But can the past be replicated? Can the future be saved? Can we ever go back?
Praise for this book
There are very few stories that have the power to hook the reader's attention from the first page. In Pindar's Corners, there are four roads: Hawthorne, Spruce, Robin’s Nest and Nobody’s Road. Nobody lives on Nobody's Road but as per the rumors, there is an old storage unit on it. When Harry Erin Cooper was jogging, he heard gunshots. Carl Lansing was frightened. His wife Susan and his daughter Katie were lying in blood. Carl's son Corey was carrying a shotgun in his hand when Harry visited inside Carl's house. The next moment everything was black. Why a ten-year-old child carrying a shotgun?
This is a gripping and unputdownable story. The storyline is unique. The story kept me on the edge as I read it. I was really curious to find out what's gonna happen next. Narration is smooth and strong. World building is superb. Once I started reading this novel, I couldn't put it down until I finished it. The author has won my heart with her writing style. I am definitely interested to read more of the author's work. Those who love to read Science Fiction should add this book to their tbr. I am sure readers would love this story set in the future.
To all the curious readers, this book will blow your mind totally and completely. This is such a well weaved story that is filled with tons and tons of surprises. A story of coming age where the scenario is way more scary but that's the reality and it at times bought shiver to my spine, because the writing is so sharp at times that everything feels so real.

This book is sort of lesson of how bad things can turn and it just changed something in me while reading. It's a very interesting blend of dystopia, mystery, dark thrill and has a soft emotional side to it, that adds a different touch to the book.

The storyline is plotted in layers so you don't really realise what's upcoming on the next few pages. This book was an absolute suprise and it just awakened all my senses while reading it. A bitter realisation and a fast paced read that will surely glue you till the end. Go for it. It's definitely recommended.
